Converse Boat Tailed Roadster 1908

This is a massive 15.5″ clockwork roadster produced by Converse in 1908. This is the two seater, and it is constructed of light pressed steel, and has a hand painted body and frame. The clockwork motor has been tested with generic clock key and the motor runs very strong, but no key is provided with the car. The body and frame are very good, but the fender portion has been re-attached in a couple of places. The car is heavy, and I suspect that picking it up by the fenders led to the necessity of the repair. The green paint appears original, but I suspect that the red has been over painted at some time. Nevertheless, this is an exceedingly difficult toy to find, especially complete and working.
