Early 1900’s Richter & Co. German Tin Clockwork Limousine
Out of stock
I have not been able to locate much information on this great early German toy car. The car is 8″ long and 5″ tall and is made of light weight tin with a working clockwork motor. By the design I would imagine this to have been made in the very early 1900’s. It has fantastic early colors and appears to be complete. There is play wear as seen in the photos, but the toy is in excellent condition and still has the original driver. It is marked with a crown and the letters R & Co B. and the number 205 on the hood. The luggage on top in the rack is probably not original to the car, but is period and looks great up there. There is a lithographed door on the back of the car, so this was probably meant to be a rear entry Limousine. Further research has shown this toy to have been made by Richter and Company.
