Japanese Wooden Torpedo Boat

1 in stock

This is not the largest of the 1950’s Japanese wooden torpedo boats at 22″ long, but it is a bit unusual. Using a bit of artistic license, the toy designer placed two die cast airplanes on the upper aft deck that are so out of proportion they are actually quite funny. The boat is in excellent condition, but could use a little dusting. It appears all original and is powered by two battery driven electric motors. The motors and wiring look complete, but are untested. The only thing I see missing is one small black wooden gun barrel that could be made out of a painted wooden dowel. The boat has a lot of detail, right down to the anchor and chain.
